DOUBLE SALCHOW

Landed two 1/4-under doubles. Seemed to help when I thought about keeping the L shoulder forwards when pulling in. So:

  • (3-turn)
  • (Keep R arm back + palm turned sideways)
  • Bend
  • Forwards
  • Jump/toe
  • Twist L shoulder clockwise

DOUBLE LOOP

Was a bit forwards on take off today. So sit back on the blade a bit.

DOUBLE FLIP

The key to the half-flip, one-and-a-half flip drill is to allow the L leg to wrap around the R.

On the one-and-a-half, imagine a square on the ice under my body. After the toe pick, allow the L foot to go past until it is under my body. Then aim to keep the knees crossed.

Coach videoed me and I get not-bad rotation!

AXEL

On RFI counter, change of edge entry: jump in direction of my head – where I’m looking. And bend the R knee before stepping

CHANGE FOOT SIT SPIN

From back to forwards, lean the body weight to the R while putting weight on R heel. Then move it back to the L by moving the upper body counterclockwise rather than just trying to move from R to L.

CHANGE FOOT CAMEL SPIN

Coach said that the principle is just the same. He suggested watching Patrick Chan doing his. Looks like change from back camel to back sit position before stepping onto LFO (while leaning to R).

JUMP SIT SPIN

Timing, think: “Down, up, down” (? – not sure I got this right)

  • Down –
  • Up – hop the L toe into the air
  • Down – land on L toe
