Had heard many times that a double salchow is “just like an axel” but never managed to feel it.

Today, I gave it a go and could sort of feel it.

So, new method:

  • Shoulder
  • Edge
  • Axel take off – keeping L shoulder forward and touching the hands together on take off

Also doing drills – thinking about toes:

  • Shoulder
  • Edge
  • Take off L TOE pick
  • Land on R TOE pick
