Skate practice


New checklist – the blue bits are the bits I’m focusing on:

  • Shoulders
  • 3-turn
  • Edge – allow the LBI edge to develop
  • Head – i.e. look ahead/to the R (rather than L)
  • Toe
  • R side – i.e. pull into the R side
  • Under – i.e. R foot under L


Again, blue bits are new:

  • Leg
  • Wind
  • Look – i.e. look over L shoulder
  • Edge – i.e. step slightly to the R onto a proper LFO
  • Leg – i.e. tense the R buttock and keep the R leg back
  • Sweep – i.e. sweep the L arm ONLY after I’ve hit the toe pick
