LEVEL 7 – QUICK 3-TURNS

I tend to turn with my arms out.  Coach told me to bring them into a horizontal circle with fingers (more or less) touching.

Also, keep the shoulders level – as this helped me to stay more even on the inside 3s

LEVEL 8, EXERCISE 6 – TWIZZLES

This is only the second part of the Twizzles:

  • LBO, cross cut RBO, LBO
  • LBO Twizzle (with R foot crossed over L)
  • LBO exit
  • Cross RBO behind, cross cut LBO, RBO
  • RBO Twizzle (with L foot crossed over R)

Stay on ball of foot for the Twizzles

LEVEL 8, EXERCISE 4 – CHOCTAWS

Get a ‘scrape’ of the blade as it goes forward.

Also, keep the weight of the upper body travelling fowards.  At the moment on the second side (i.e. with R shoulder leading), I tend to drop the body weight behind.
