Skating techniques


Landed quite a few jumps to forward without much effort.  Just did it by checking the L shoulder forward continuously.

So rather than just thinking ‘Upright, shoulder’, I’m actually thinking ‘Upright, shoulder shoulder shoulder shoulder’ – and focusing on keeping the L shoulder forward even after the 3-turn and into the jump itself.

Stay relaxed.  No need to force the jump.  Just focus on keeping the L shoulder forwards – and gradually think about pulling the arms in a little more.


Had an inconsistent to poor spinning week until today.  Had been falling off my camel the last few sessions.

Today, I thought about keeping the free leg to the LEFT and my camel was awesome again.  Yes, it’s that simple to correct my camel.
